In the floorstanding speaker system 801 D4 Signature, optimized technologies are used, including a crucial diamond dome tweeter, upper tweeter assembly with a single-piece body, brand-new tweeter grille, and an upgraded crossover.
Diamond dome tweeters
This ultra-rigid, high-precision diamond dome tweeter, combining lightness, exceptional rigidity, and unmatched accuracy, is one of our most significant achievements in the past two decades. Even after fifteen years since its initial release, there has been no better technology found for a dome tweeter.
Tweeter in a massive enclosure
The latest iteration of the iconic top-mounted tweeter in a massive enclosure features a longer loading tube and a completely new grille design optimized for even more free and open high-frequency sound.
For the 801 D4 Signature series, the signature Solid Body Tweeter-on-Top tweeter enclosure has been upgraded. It now has an elongated shape with more extended resonant tubes in the rear chamber. Additionally, the tweeter grille has been improved, resulting in even more free and open high-frequency sound.
Optimized crossover
The 800 Signature Series model uses a modernized crossover design, installed behind on rigid aluminum supports. This isolates sensitive capacitors from unwanted air pressure inside the enclosure and provides very efficient cooling during operation.
Aluminum top panel
All new models in the 800 Signature Series have a significantly improved enclosure with a new, optimized aluminum top plate for even greater rigidity. New materials are used for finishing the panel - exclusive leather from Connolly. The Midnight Blue Metallic finish uses luxurious grained blue leather, and the California Burl Gloss finish uses textured black leather.
