The Behringer SWING is a MIDI keyboard featuring 32 mini-sized keys with aftertouch support and a 64-step polyphonic sequencer with an arpeggiator. It is equipped with touch-strips for pitch bend and modulation control, has a compact size, and a portable housing. The SWING can be connected to a DAW or a synthesizer via USB connection or MIDI.
With just one key, you can play a chord containing up to 16 notes. The built-in 64-step sequencer allows for creating various progressions and playing along with them. You can switch to arpeggiator mode, which will be fully synchronized with the device to which the SWING is connected. By using the Style/Pattern control, you can choose up to 8 saved programs for the sequencer, simultaneously selecting arpeggiator modes. Notes can be played up and down, in random order, or as double notes. The Scale selector allows you to choose one of eight time signatures, while the tempo can be adjusted using the Temp control and button. The Rec button starts recording the sequence, and you can change arpeggiator modes on the fly.
The SWING can be connected to polyphonic synthesizers via two 5-pin MIDI connectors, with input and output. There are also CV outputs for connecting to Eurorack synthesizers. A 1/4" Jack TRS input is available for connecting a sustain pedal. A micro USB connector is used to connect to the computer. To unlock the full potential of the SWING, it is recommended to download the Control Tribe app from Google Play or the Apple App Store. This app allows for fine-tuning the device, adjusting all its operating modes, and even configuring the sustain pedal function. The SWING can be powered via USB or with a 9-volt power adapter (not included).
