The Behringer Europower EP2000 amplifier is designed for long and intensive use. Its fast response to changes in input signals allows for creating premium audio systems based on the Europower EP2000, ensuring successful performances without technical difficulties. The high power output of the amplifier allows for connecting a large number of quality passive speakers, making it easy to adjust sound according to the room's acoustics.
The output power of a signal processed by the Europower EP2000 depends on the resistance and number of speakers connected to it. In stereo mode, with two 2 Ohm speakers connected, the amplifier delivers a peak power of 1000 W per channel. For 4 Ohm speakers, the power per channel is 750 W. In bridge mode, when the signal is sent to a single 4 Ohm speaker, the power output is 2000 W.
To accurately reproduce the entire frequency spectrum, the Europower EP2000 uses Accelerated Transient Response (ATR) technology, allowing for quick adjustment of the amplitude-frequency characteristics to "drive" the woofers.
The device operates in a frequency range of 20 - 20,000 Hz with distortion levels not exceeding 0.01%. For improved sound quality, it features a switchable low-frequency filter to eliminate technical noise produced by electronic equipment, and switchable limiters to protect speakers from damage during overloads.
In addition to limiters, the amplifier is equipped with protection against short circuits, open circuits, overheating, and high frequencies. The built-in fan maintains a low operating temperature inside the device. It utilizes a toroidal, noise-free, and energy-efficient transformer for power conversion.
The Europower EP2000 features XLR and ¼-inch TRS connectors as input ports. Each channel has its own gain control, signal indicator, and clipping indicator. The output connectors are compatible with professional SPEAKON cables and backup terminals for bare wires. Weighing 21 kg, the device can be rack-mounted as it occupies 2U of space and comes with steel brackets for mounting.
