Behringer CT200 is a professional multi-format cable tester designed for quick and accurate detection of breaks, shorts, cross connections, and unstable contacts. It features an advanced indication system, including PASS, CROSSED, SHORTED, OPEN, and INTERMITTENT LEDs. A separate display shows contact numbers to quickly localize the issue. The device supports XLR, Speakon, TRS/TS 1/4", miniJack 1/8", RCA, MIDI (5-pin DIN), USB A/B, and Ethernet RJ45 cables.
The built-in tone generator allows sending signals through the audio line (Speakon, XLR, TRS, miniJack, or RCA outputs) to check the functionality of the system. Users can choose signal levels of +4 dBu, -10 dBV, or -50 dBV/MIC. Additionally, the tester can detect phantom power on XLR lines: the PHANTOM indicator lights up when more than 9 V is detected between pins 2 and 3.
CT200 supports three diagnostic modes: Auto, Manual, and Installed Cable Tester, making it suitable for both mobile and stationary systems where access to both ends of the cable is not possible. Two AA battery slots provide autonomous operation, allowing the device to be used in various conditions, including touring and installations.
