The Austrian Audio CC8 is an instrumental cardioid condenser microphone.
Features:
- Provides smooth and detailed sound capture
- Sensitivity of -10 and -20 dB
- 60 or 120 Hz filter
- Durable diaphragm with gold coating
- Sturdy metal construction
Developed by a team of former AKG employees, the Austrian Audio CC8 condenser microphone with a small diaphragm ensures smooth and detailed sound capture, making it ideal for recording acoustic instruments such as pianos, acoustic guitars, violins, and percussion in personal and commercial recording studios. The CK1-style capsule is equipped with a durable diaphragm with a gold coating and a precise cardioid polar pattern, providing reliable on-axis directionality and reducing background noise levels at the rear and sides of the microphone.
On the rear panel of the CC8, switches provide easy access to pad and roll-off settings. Set the pad value to -10 or -20 dB to avoid distortion when reproducing loud sound sources such as drums or guitar cabinets. Activate the high-pass filter at 60 or 120 Hz to eliminate low-frequency interference, including noise and proximity effects. The CC8 reproduces with a tolerance of ±0.5 dB at 1 kHz, ensuring tonal consistency and easy matching with any other CC8 microphone.
