The Audio-Technica AT8024 is a professional on-camera stereo "shotgun" microphone with a length of 172 mm. The model is designed for high-resolution mono and stereo recording.

There is a switch for linear cardioid mono mode and stereo modes. The on-camera microphone is equipped with a 3-position selectable attenuator necessary for recording the loudest sounds without the slightest distortion at a maximum input level of 128 dB SPL. To eliminate unwanted noise, there is a switchable low-cut filter. It also removes natural room reverberation and various mechanical interferences caused by equipment operation. The microphone is powered by an AA battery, but a camera shoe mount is also included.
The battery provides up to 80 hours of autonomous operation. The package includes two types of windshields (fur and foam), as well as an AA battery. Features of AT8024: cardioid + stereo directional patterns. Built-in attenuator with 3 selectable values + low-cut filter. The frequency range for playback is from 40 to 15,000 Hz. Power can be supplied either through the camera shoe mount or with one AA battery. The maximum battery life is 80 hours. Fur and foam windscreens are included in the package.
