Audio-Technica has introduced an improved USB version of the popular condenser (electret) microphone AT2020. The Audio-Technica AT2020USB-XP model has received a number of additional features that facilitate signal processing.
Features:
- Three noise suppression presets for working in different conditions.
- Recording signal with a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz and a bit depth of up to 24 bits.
- Headphone output.
- Signal level indicator.
The Audio-Technica AT2020USB-XP is positioned as a microphone for content creators. The device offers flexibility in operation and additional features such as built-in noise suppression and automatic gain control. The microphone has a headphone output for real-time signal monitoring. The device also has a MUTE button on its body for instant microphone disconnection.
According to the company, the microphone is equipped with three noise suppression presets for working in different conditions. By using one of the three profiles, users will achieve the best signal-to-noise ratio. It has a cardioid polar pattern and captures audio within a 120-degree angle in front. The built-in analog-to-digital converter of the device now supports recording signals with a sampling frequency of up to 192 kHz and a bit depth of up to 24 bits, compared to 96 kHz and 24 bits of the AT2020USB-X model. According to the technical specifications, the AT2020USB-XP records signals in the standard range of 20 to 20,000 Hz.
In addition, the microphone has a signal level indicator both on the body and inside. When the signal level is normal, the microphone lights up blue, and when it exceeds the threshold values, it lights up red. This solution makes monitoring more visual.
