Audio-Technica VM95EN is a cartridge with an elliptical nude diamond stylus. The elliptical shape enhances the quality of music reproduction, especially in terms of high-frequency accuracy and transient response.
The VM95EN cartridge, with its two moving magnets, features a special coil construction that increases the efficiency of the moving system and ensures perfect contact between the stylus and the record groove. Additionally, the cartridge's internal design includes a special transducer construction to eliminate any loss of sound information and achieve the highest efficiency in the converting system.
A cartridge with a conical stylus is less demanding in terms of setup angle and is the most versatile, suitable for various tonearms. You can always choose a different stylus shape from the VM95 series: Microlinear or Shibata. As any needle wears out over time due to playing records, it is important to have the option to purchase a replacement stylus.
Features:
- The AT-VM95EN cartridge features an improved design with a stiffer low-resonance body.
- A newly developed radial damping ring improves transient response and increases the frequency range up to 23,000 Hz.
- The cantilever is made of aluminum tubing.
- Output voltage: 3.5 mV.
- Two threaded inserts in the cartridge body allow for easy installation on a shell or tonearm with just two screws, without nuts.
- Assembled and tested at the Audio-Technica factory in Fukui, Japan.
