Antelope Audio Zen Tour Synergy Core is a compact audio interface equipped with 8 analog inputs and 8 outputs. This new model includes a whole arsenal of built-in tools that will surely be useful for actively touring musicians and producers. Among them, there is even a built-in guitar amplifier and guitar cabinet emulator. In the updated version, the manufacturer has made a number of quality improvements and added new features:
Features:
- Preamps with a dynamic range of up to 130 dB;
- 4 DSP processors with 2 FPGA schemes provide minimal latency;
- 36 real-time processing plugins and support for new exclusive Synergy Core effects;
- 4 microphone preamps, 2 with Hi-Z switching;
- Support for 24-bit / 192 kHz;
- Connection via Thunderbolt 3 and USB 2.0 for Mac / Windows;
- Control through mobile and desktop software;
- Touch control with a touchscreen and built-in TalkBack microphone.
Connectivity:
The 8 analog inputs of the audio interface include 4 multi-mode microphone/line inputs and 4 multi-mode instrument/line inputs, providing a powerful arsenal for recording musical ensembles. In case these capabilities seem insufficient, the Zen Tour also has digital ADAT & S/PDIF ports, allowing you to expand multi-channel recording possibilities.
The 8 analog outputs of the Zen Tour are specially designed to create a versatile workspace for any purpose - whether you are at home, in the studio, or on tour.
For example, 2 separate headphone outputs allow two musicians or a musician and sound engineer to listen to the mix simultaneously without using external devices. A pair of stereo monitor outputs with the ability to switch between monitors are designed to facilitate monitoring on 2 independent stereo systems.
Recording and Processing Technologies:
A pair of unique preamp outputs are designed for maximum flexibility when recording audio material outside the studio - you can record a guitar part in a hotel, and then re-record the same part in a home studio using a tube preamp. The same can be done with vocal parts. Finally, the built-in talkback mode allows you to use the Zen Tour as a central element of the studio.
The Zen Tour is equipped with parallel DSP processing technology, technologically identical to processing in professional studio devices from Antelope Audio. This means that the Zen Tour's DSP engine operates with an ultra-low latency. Additionally, the DSP processor is equipped with powerful effects algorithms that emulate real studio devices. Among them, you can find guitar amp and cabinet emulators, a Pultec equalizer, or a powerful reverb AuraVerb.
The effects are so good that they can effectively replace many real studio instruments, saving you money and space on your desk. And the ultra-short delay, achieved thanks to the patented Field-Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) processing technology, makes the response speed of guitar amp emulators equal to the speed of real tube combos.
Interface and Control:
The controller is designed as a universal cross-platform application with support for touch screens. Using remote control protocols over the network, we can simultaneously control the Zen Tour audio interface from any number of computers, phones, or tablets. The application is available in the form of software for MAC or PC, as well as iOS or Android controllers.
