The foundation of the simulated microphones was recorded in a German studio with a rich collection of classic microphones. The fixed cardioid pattern and only one microphone input make the Edge Solo very easy to use: simply connect the microphone and select the desired mode.

The Solo features a fixed cardioid pattern and occupies one microphone input on your interface. This makes it very easy to use. Simply take it out of the box, connect it, select one of the emulated microphones, and start working.

Compatibility
For maximum emulation accuracy, the Edge microphones are ideally optimized to work with Antelope microphone preamps. Antelope Audio microphone preamps come with built-in FPGA processing features that allow real-time emulation of vintage microphones.
The Edge Solo also includes built-in Antelope emulation modules. This means you can use any third-party audio interface and even adjust the modeling parameters after recording. Available in VST, AU, and AAX formats for MacOS and Windows, the built-in AFX plugins from Antelope provide all the benefits of FPGA FX technology with minimal latency, high resampling, and precise floating-point calculations.
