Design:
The Edge Duo features a dual-membrane capsule with 6-micron gold sputtering, providing an incredibly smooth, rich, and natural response that accurately transforms into the sound of the most expensive and sought-after microphones in audio recording history.
Compatibility:
For maximum emulation accuracy, Edge microphones are optimized to work perfectly with Antelope microphone preamps. Antelope Audio microphone preamps come with built-in FPGA processing capabilities that allow real-time emulation of vintage microphone sounds.
The Edge Duo also includes built-in Antelope emulation modules. This means you can use any third-party audio interface and even adjust modeling parameters after recording. Available in VST, AU, and AAX formats for both MacOS and Windows, the built-in AFX plugins from Antelope (requires iLok 2 or 3 - not included) provide all the benefits of FPGA FX technology with minimal latency, high oversampling, and precise floating-point processing.
