Amphion Argon3LX floorstanding speakers combine true studio technologies with all the benefits of Amphion's professional monitors, such as spacious three-dimensional imaging, exceptional detail, wide sweet spot, and phenomenal musicality. Updated Crossover
The revised crossover finely tunes the integration of drivers, achieving a perfect balance between the tweeter and mid/low-frequency drivers. This enhanced crossover increases the longevity of the speakers by reducing internal power dissipation and optimizing component performance.
The crossover frequency between drivers is quite low at 1600 Hz. The new 5th generation waveguide ensures maximum resolution, transparency, easy placement, and guaranteed performance in any setting.
Waveguides offer numerous advantages by improving driver integration and speaker performance in a room. The patented Amphion U/D/D 5th generation waveguide provides an elegant solution for speaker selection.
Passive Radiator Extends Low-Frequency Limits
A passive radiator is a driver without a magnetic coil system, where its own resonance determines the lower reproduction boundary. This solution allows for a lower reproduction boundary than a sealed enclosure, without the attack delay or turbulent artifacts found in a bass reflex system. The speaker diaphragm is made of aluminum, offering high rigidity with low weight.
Another element borrowed from the professional lineup is the Argento Audio input terminals with large plastic cups instead of the usual gold-plated posts with nuts. This allows for quick connection of banana plugs, spades, and stripped cables without touching the bare contacts or risking short circuits.
