Description

Amphion Argon3LS is a floor-standing Hi-Fi class speaker. These speakers are primarily designed for music listening in tandem with a stereo amplifier, but they can also excel as front speakers when building a home theater. The speakers will fit perfectly in a room or living room, and the low frequency of 30 Hz eliminates the need for a subwoofer.

Features:

  • Two-way speaker system with a passive woofer
  • 25mm titanium tweeter
  • 165mm aluminum diaphragm woofer

After the rapid growth in popularity among leading sound engineers worldwide, Amphion decided to apply their studio know-how to Hi-Fi products for the home. Amphion believes that the quality of speakers used for music listening at home should not differ from professional studio monitors on which it was created. Argon3LS floor-standing speakers combine true studio technologies, possessing all the advantages and qualities of Amphion professional monitors, such as spacious three-dimensional imaging, exceptional detail, wide sweet spot, and phenomenal musicality. The remarkable low frequencies generated by Argon3LS are due to the additional volume of the enclosure, allowing the listener to physically feel their favorite music.

Expanding the boundaries of acoustic design helps Amphion keep the product electrically simple. The result is not only increased resolution but also improved clarity and balance at low volume levels. This allows Amphion listeners to enjoy the speakers even in moments when others are forced to use headphones.

5th Generation Waveguide

The crossover point, where the frequency transitions from one driver to another, is set relatively low at 1600 Hz. Thanks to the new 5th generation waveguide, the simple signal transmission path and seamless integration of the drivers provide maximum resolution and transparency, as well as easy positioning and guaranteed performance in any setting and room.

Waveguides come with numerous advantages as they improve driver integration and acoustic performance in a room. The patented Amphion U/D/D (Uniformly Distributed Diffusion) 5th generation waveguide offers an elegant solution when selecting speakers.

A passive woofer extends the lower frequency limit

A passive woofer is a speaker without a sound coil in the magnetic system, and its own resonance determines the lower limit of reproduction.

This solution allows for a lower lower limit of reproduction compared to a sealed enclosure, but unlike a bass reflex, a passive speaker does not slow down the attack and does not produce turbulent sounds. The speaker's diaphragm is made of aluminum. This diaphragm has high stiffness and low weight. Another element borrowed from the professional range is the Argento Audio input terminals with large plastic cups instead of the usual gold-plated posts with a thumb nut. They allow you to quickly connect bananas, spades, and stripped wire without touching bare contacts and risking a short circuit. Very convenient.

Argon3LS floorstanding speakers are an elegant solution for your home. They will provide you with exceptional listening pleasure, revealing details and nuances that you've never heard before, even in familiar recordings. The Argon3LS speaker system brings music into your home exactly as the artist and sound engineer intended it; it allows the music to speak for itself without coloring it.
