Both the headband and memory foam ear pads are comfortable and fully replaceable. The H200 comes with a 2.5-meter detachable cable that can be connected to either the left or right ear, providing flexibility to adapt to different studio setups. With a 32 Ohm impedance, the H200 can be used with a wide range of devices, including smartphones and laptops. The closed-back design of the headphones provides excellent passive isolation and eliminates unwanted resonant frequencies. The free ADAM Audio Headphone Utility plugin allows you to optimize your pair and unlock spatial sound.
New PEAK Driver
The H200 features a 40mm polyetheretherketone (PEEK) driver that delivers a smooth and balanced frequency response from 2 Hz to 23.5 kHz, high SPL levels, and low distortion. It is paired with lightweight neodymium magnets that provide crystal-clear sound.
Leather and Soft Fabric Ear Pads
The H200 comes with easy-to-clean leather ear pads as standard. Soft fabric ear pads are also available as an accessory. Both options feature memory foam for a comfortable fit, internal resonance damping, and excellent isolation for recording or working in noisy environments. Differences in frequency response due to different acoustic properties can be compensated for with the DAW module.
Durable Anodized Aluminum Headband
The headband components, selected for their durability, comfort, and longevity, provide a secure yet not excessive clamping force, and the padding is easy to maintain and replace if damaged. This results in good ear sealing, which eliminates unwanted resonances, especially in the problematic frequency range of 70 to 150 Hz.
Dual-Sided Connection
The audio cable can be connected to the H200 from either the left or right side using a carefully designed 2.5mm input jack with a locking ring mechanism. Unlike bayonet or screw mechanisms, the clamp mechanism detaches under significant pressure, preventing cable or headphone damage. This provides a more efficient connection to equipment and allows for easy replacement of damaged cables.
Detachable and Durable Cable
The included detachable audio cable is 2.5 meters long and chosen for its durability, flexibility, and low mechanical noise level. It terminates in a 3.5mm connector, with a 1/4 inch adapter also included in the package. Shorter and coiled cables are also available as separate accessories.
ADAM Audio Headphone Utility Plug-In
The included ADAM Audio Headphone Utility program is designed to optimize the performance of the H200 headphones and can be downloaded for free upon product registration. While the H200 headphones sound great right out of the box, the impedance of the source equipment or different ear pad materials can affect sound quality. In addition, traditional headphones have limited stereo imaging compared to speakers due to their design. The headphone utility connects to your DAW's main channel and offers a range of optimization tools, as well as a specialized function that provides more natural stereo imaging.
