The Aavik U-x88 series is an innovative collection of all-in-one amplifiers, including models U-188, U-288, and U-588. Each model draws inspiration from the well-known flagship models of the 880 series, offering the most modern musical characteristics in a completely new design. Developed to provide exceptional musicality, the U-x88 series combines a streamer, DAC, linear cascade, and power amplifier in a carefully designed enclosure. Each component serves a specific purpose, ensuring the lowest inductance, zero hysteresis, and exceptional resonance control to preserve the finest musical details.
Exceptional design born from two exceptional minds
The Aavik U-x88 series is the result of a unique collaboration between two renowned designers. Respected Gryphon Audio founder Flemming E. Rasmussen joined the Aavik team in 2021, bringing over 35 years of design experience. Combining his artistic vision with Michael Børresen's innovative technical approach, they created the U-188, U-288, and U-588 amplifiers, which not only look stunning but also deliver exceptional listening experiences.
Complete integration for enhanced musical performance
The U-x88 amplifiers are a fully integrated solution, combining key functions such as streaming, DAC, linear cascade, and power amplification in a carefully designed enclosure. This design minimizes signal loss and enhances music playback, providing users with an optimized, high-performance experience.
Advanced technologies for superior musical control
The Aavik U-x88 amplifiers are based on the latest version of Pascal class D amplifier technology, which features even faster UMAC switch modulation and generates less noise. This scheme now requires less filtering and has lower output impedance, providing greater control over connected speakers and consistent performance across the musical spectrum.
Active Tesla Coil. Effective noise killer
Active Tesla coils are powered, providing significantly lower impedance and thus better noise elimination. The active version is about three to four times more efficient than passive Tesla coils.
Anti-resonance coil technology. Prevents airborne noise
All cables and cable shields act as antennas for airborne radio frequency noise, which is a huge problem. The passive Tesla coil is wound on the outer part of the cable and protects the signal from absorbing airborne radio frequency noise. This noise is absorbed into the Tesla coil. Since there is voltage in the conductor itself, and it is wound in the opposite direction, it is used as a counteracting coil, and the radio frequency noise is then eliminated.
