The Aavik U-x88 series is an innovative collection of "all-in-one" amplifiers, including models U-188, U-288, and U-588. Each model draws inspiration from the flagship series 880, offering the most modern musical characteristics in a completely new design. Exceptional design born from two exceptional minds
The Aavik U-x88 series is the result of a unique collaboration between two renowned designers. Respected Gryphon Audio founder Fleming Erik Rasmussen joined the Aavik team in 2021, bringing over 35 years of design experience. Combining his artistic vision with the innovative technical approach of Michael Børresen, they created amplifiers U-188, U-288, and U-588, which not only look stunning but also provide exceptional auditory experiences.

The U-x88 amplifiers are a fully integrated solution, combining key functions such as streaming, DAC, linear cascade, and power amplification in a carefully designed enclosure. This design minimizes signal loss and improves music playback, providing users with an optimized, high-performance experience.
Cutting-edge technologies for superior musical control
The Aavik U-x88 amplifiers are based on the latest version of Pascal class D amplifier technology, featuring even faster UMAC switching modulation and generating less noise. This scheme now requires less filtering and has lower output impedance, providing greater control over connected speakers and consistent performance across the musical spectrum.
Active Tesla Coil. An efficient noise killer
Active Tesla coils are powered to provide significantly lower impedance and, therefore, better noise elimination capability. The active version is approximately three to four times more efficient than passive Tesla coils.
Anti-resonance coil technology. Prevents air noise
All cables and cable shields act as antennas for airborne radiofrequency noise, which is a huge problem, of course. The passive Tesla coil is wound around the outer part of the cable and protects the signal from absorbing airborne radiofrequency noise. This noise is absorbed in the Tesla coil. Since there is a voltage in the conductor itself and it is wound in the opposite direction, it acts as a counteracting coil, and the radiofrequency noise is then eliminated.
