The Aavik x88 series is the result of a unique collaboration between two renowned designers. Respected Gryphon Audio founder Flemming E. Rasmussen joined the Aavik team in 2021, bringing over 35 years of design experience. Combining his artistic vision with Michael Børresen's innovative technical approach, they created the 188, 288, and 588 devices to not only look stunning but also provide exceptional sound performance.
Scandinavian Design Aesthetics
Aavik's design language embodies Scandinavian restraint, expressing simplicity and minimalism with just a few buttons for logical control. The multifunction main knob provides easy navigation and control over various functions. Flexible Analog Crossover System
The I-x88 amplifiers feature fully analog active crossover modules with separate low and high-frequency filters, allowing for flexible system integration. Users can easily connect an active subwoofer and precisely adjust crossover points to relieve monitor speakers from low-frequency work, improving mid-range driver efficiency, linearity, and reducing heat.
Tesla Coil Technology
The Tesla coil principle involves having two coils wound in each direction - a coil and a counter coil. When a Tesla coil encounters a sharp voltage spike, a counter spike is activated to eliminate noise. This improves music perception as noise spikes are nearly eliminated.
Active Tesla Coils for Noise Suppression
Active Tesla coils powered by the power source provide significantly lower resistance and better noise elimination than passive Tesla coils, making them 3-4 times more effective.
