The Aavik x88 series is the product of a unique collaboration between two renowned designers. Respected Gryphon Audio founder Fleming Erik Rasmussen joined the Aavik team in 2021, bringing over 35 years of design experience. Combining their artistic vision with Michael Børresen's innovative technical approach, they created the 188, 288, and 588 devices to not only look stunning but also deliver exceptional sound.
Scandinavian Design Aesthetics
The Aavik design language is one of Scandinavian restraint, expressing simplicity and minimalism with just a few buttons for intuitive control. The multifunction main knob provides easy navigation and control over various functions. The standout feature of the new Aavik series design is the large red display that elegantly shows all details of the selected settings.
Tesla Coil Technology
The principle is to have two coils wound in each direction - a coil and a counter coil. In other words, the "double inverted coil" - both coils carry voltage, and when the Tesla coil encounters a sharp voltage spike, a counter spike is activated to eliminate noise. By connecting more P-TC coils in parallel, performance is enhanced, leading to a significantly improved perception of musical blackness.
Active Tesla Coil Technology
Active Tesla coils draw power from the power source, providing significantly lower resistance and therefore better noise reduction. The active version is approximately three to four times more efficient than passive Tesla coils.
Active Square Tesla Coils
Active square Tesla coils are integrated into the circuit boards - one coil is located on top, and the other on the reverse side. With the same operating principle as active Tesla coils, they possess greater noise reduction capabilities compared to passive Tesla coils.
Anti Aerial Resonance Coil Technology
Prevents cable interference. Tesla coils wrapped around cables protect signals from absorbing radio frequency interference in the air, effectively eliminating noise.
