The dynamic driver handles the low frequencies, six balanced armature drivers handle the mids, one driver transitions mid to high, and one Tia driver covers the highs. A 4-way passive crossover coordinates the drivers.
Nio accentuates deep lows, builds a rich 3D soundstage, smooth extended highs, natural warmth, allowing Nio to excel in any music genre. The ergonomic universal earphone shell is made from a single piece of aluminum and adorned with an eye-catching faceplate made of seashells.
Tia Technology
Special driver and housing construction without acoustic sound tubes provide transparent and realistic sound. The system reduces unwanted resonance and distortion, allowing the 9mm dynamic driver + Tia high-frequency driver to sound freely in one large sound tube.
Apex Core Technology
The technology aims to reduce listener fatigue by reducing excess air pressure in the ear canal. This ventilation allows musicians and music enthusiasts to use headphones comfortably for longer periods.
LID Technology
Linear Impedance Design (LID) is a patented scheme that corrects the non-linear electrical resistance of the group of drivers in Nio. Adjusting the amplifier source's output resistance in devices such as smartphones, head units, DAC/amplifiers, and DAP modules usually leads to changes in their frequency response based on increased resistance. Restoring the proper interaction with the source and maintaining the desired sound characteristics ensures stable and reliable sound.
Wave Sync Technology
Due to the high crossover point between the two drivers, Wave Sync technology was developed to ensure coherence. Thanks to the "all-pass" filter, the crossover operates with a time correction without the need to change the physical distance between the drivers.
