64 Audio U4s are versatile in-ear monitors. This hybrid model is equipped with four drivers and features innovative patented technologies originally developed for flagship products to bring their music closer to a wider audience. The U4S introduces a bold new color aesthetic for 64audio. The choice of Slate Blue color for the housing was influenced by some of the most beautiful watches in the world with a blue dial, and the unique pattern on the faceplate was inspired by fragments of the Muonionalusta meteorite. Both the faceplate and the light-reflecting properties of the housing give the earphones a unique hue in different lighting conditions.

The ergonomic anodized aluminum housing contains one dynamic driver, two armature drivers, and one patented tia driver. All of them are connected together with the patented Tia, LID, and Apex technologies. The four-way crossover is enhanced by using the proprietary low-pass electronic filter, reducing low-frequency distortions. The range of included interchangeable apex modules and ear tips allows for additional sound shaping based on preferences and original material, while the premium-class silver-plated copper cable with ultra-low resistance ensures seamless signal transmission.
Balanced mid-frequencies and a pleasant high-frequency range respond well to a wide range of music and recording styles at any volume level. The airiness of the sound is provided by the tia high-driver, which, in combination with the extended soundstage from apex, delivers a realistic sound.
Tia Technology
Tubeless In-Ear Audio (tia) is a special design of drivers and housing without acoustic tubes that provides transparent and realistic sound. The system reduces unwanted resonance and distortion, allowing the dynamic driver and high-frequency armature driver tia to emit sound freely into the shared sound channel. The U4s earphones use two main elements of the tia system: open-armature tia drivers and a special single-channel tia design.
Apex Technology
The technology is designed to relieve listener fatigue by reducing excess air pressure on the ear canal. Air Pressure Exchange (Apex) is a patented vent that releases air pressure in a sealed ear canal while maintaining standard IEM isolation levels, allowing music lovers to listen more comfortably for extended periods. This ventilation reduces listener fatigue and provides a much more realistic sound stage. Apex is built into the U4s and provides pressure relief and isolation similar to the m20 module.
Lid Technology
By correcting the non-linear impedance of drivers, Lid ensures proper interaction with various sources. Whether you are a musician connecting to different devices at different concerts or studios, or an audiophile listening from low-impedance sources, Lid guarantees that your IEMs will sound consistently high. Changes in the output impedance of the source amplifier in devices such as smartphones, DAC/amps, and DAPs typically lead to changes in frequency response depending on the increase in impedance. Restoring proper interaction with the source and maintaining the desired sound characteristic ensures stable and reliable sound.
Low-Frequency Filter
Originally developed for the U18 crossover scheme, the low-frequency filter replaces traditional acoustic dampers, which can introduce unwanted distortion due to vibration and air turbulence. Instead of using acoustic dampers to filter out unwanted frequencies after the driver emits them, the low-frequency electric filter reduces distortion by eliminating unwanted frequencies before they reach the driver.
Modules:
- M15 Module: Designed for additional reduction by 4 dB at 20 Hz compared to M20, this module achieves isolation at 15 dB, acting as an intermediate step between low-frequency attenuation and isolation.
- M12 Module: Developed for those who found the bass drop between M15 and Mx modules too sharp, this module is ideal for tracks where bass only slightly overlaps the rest of the spectrum. It enhances impact at a medium distance (reduction by 1-4 dB at frequencies 130 Hz-20 Hz).
- M20 Module: Significantly increases low-frequency response while maintaining mid-range frequencies. Ideal for excessively bright mixes as it shifts the response towards low frequencies. Although this module reduces the width of the soundstage, it works well for electronic heavy or modern pop music, which doesn't contain a lot of acoustic spatial information. The m20 module also reveals some missing auxiliary information in old rock recordings (increase by 1 dB-2 dB in the range of 40 Hz-20 Hz).
- MX Module: The widest soundstage with reduced noise isolation. The low-frequency response is significantly reduced, allowing you to adjust it according to your preferences depending on the type of music and mixing. MX is ideal for recordings that do not capture a large amount of mid-bass but contain a lot of spatial information. Due to the reduced sensitivity to low frequencies, this creates a slight emphasis on the high-frequency range (reduction by 1 dB-10 dB at frequencies 350 Hz-20 Hz).
Spinfit Technology
Raises the high-frequency resonance peak. Best for dealing with the mic effect. The tip is well separated from the silicon that comes into contact with the ear canal.
