Swan Song
Swan Song Records is a record label launched on May 10, 1974, by the members of Led Zeppelin and their manager, Peter Grant.
The label was designed, on one hand, to give the band complete control over their own creative output and, on the other, to support talented artists who were struggling to secure major contracts.
Notable artists who recorded for Swan Song include Bad Company, The Pretty Things, Dave Edmunds, Mirabai, Maggie Bell (Midnight Flyer project), Detective, Sad Café, and Wildlife.
The label ceased active operations in 1983 and currently exists solely for the purpose of reissuing previously released material.
Today, Swan Song is part of the Warner Music Group.
