Marshall is a globally renowned manufacturer of guitar amplifiers and cabinets from England and one of the most iconic brands in the history of rock 'n' roll. It all began in a small music instrument shop in the 1960s when Jim Marshall sought to provide local guitarists with the sound they desired most in the world—a sound more powerful, heavier, and richer than the amplifiers of the time, particularly the American Fenders. His efforts to create the dream device for local musicians resulted in the JMT45—an amplifier that sounded significantly heavier than anything he had ever heard before. This marked the beginning of the Marshall legend.
In 2010, Marshall Amplification gained the support of the Swedish company Zound Industries, the manufacturer of Urbanears headphones. From that point, the Swedes began producing a line of Marshall headphones, making that distinct sound available not just to musicians.
In 2012, the first Marshall home speaker was released, and by 2015, the first portable models of Marshall Bluetooth speakers had emerged.
