    Anker is a Chinese electronics brand owned by Anker Innovations, located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The brand is known for the production of computer and mobile peripherals. The name Anker comes from the German designation for an anchor.

    Steven Yang founded Anker after moving to Shenzhen, China in 2011 after working as a software engineer at Google in California. In early 2012, Stephen hired Dongping Zhao, the head of Google's sales department in China, and at the time of 2018 he is the president of Anker Innovations. In 2012, Anker changed its focus from replacing laptop batteries to manufacturing chargers for smartphones and other equipment.

    Anker has subsidiaries in the USA, Germany, Great Britain, Japan and China. Until 2017, Anker devices were sold almost exclusively on the Amazon Marketplace. Anker now sells its products on its website along with the Amazon store.

    Anker's main market is mobile chargers, including batteries, external batteries (power bank), charging cables and USB charging hubs. Anker also manufactures smart home appliances and security devices called Eufy, portable video projectors called Nebula, wireless Bluetooth headphones and speakers called Soundcore, and car accessories called ROAV.
