The Chinese manufacturer HiFiMAN has acquired the company Goldenwave and announced the release of a new headphone DAC/amplifier model called Serenade.

- Amplifier supports PCM 32 bit/384 kHz, DSD64-DSD256 (USB). Serenade is a joint development of engineers from both companies. It is a compact (300 x 255 x 50 mm), yet powerful Class A amplifier with the HiFiMan Hymalaya Pro Ladder DAC and a 50-watt toroidal transformer. The amplifier supports PCM 32 bit/384 kHz, DSD64-DSD256 (USB); DSD DoP64 (coaxial and optical inputs), PCM44.1-PCM768, DSD64-DSD512 (LAN wired network). The front panel features output jacks for 4-pin XLR, 6.35 mm, 4.4 mm; the rear panel has XLR (balanced) and RCA (single-ended) inputs.
Frequency response of Serenade: 20 Hz - 20 kHz. DAC output level: 4.5 V/XLR, 2.2 V/RCA. Amplifier power: headphone output THD+N<0.07% @1 kHz, balanced output 4000 mW / 32 ohms, 760 mW / 300 ohms; unbalanced output 2800 mW / 32 ohms, 510 mW / 300 ohms.
