Focal Sopra Center Central Speaker is assembled in a excellently damped enclosure with a glossy lacquered finish and a rear-firing port located in the back. Two screw terminals are also located there for connecting the speaker cable. The model pairs perfectly with the Sopra No. 1 bookshelf speakers, as well as the Sopra No. 2 and Sopra No. 3 floorstanding speakers. A branded stand (optional) is available for this speaker.

The model features a 27mm tweeter with a convex beryllium dome that is protected by a metal mesh. The dome is constructed from beryllium, a very light, strong, and rigid material. The tweeter utilizes IAL (Infinite Acoustic Loading) technology, which helps dampen parasitic resonances and lower the resonant frequency. This high-frequency driver covers a five-octave range, reaching up to 40000 Hz, providing exceptional detail and accurate frequency response.
The midrange frequencies are handled by an 80mm midrange driver, while a pair of 165mm woofers are used for bass reproduction. All three drivers are equipped with special W-technology sandwich diffusers, featuring a central layer of special foam material (structural foam) sandwiched between two thin fiberglass layers. This construction provides high rigidity, lightness, and excellent internal damping, resulting in fast signal response, linear frequency response, and natural sound with minimal distortion. All three drivers are covered with separate round grilles.
