The Neumann KH 80 DSP is a compact near-field active monitor designed for use in recording studios, video editing, radio stations, and even home environments. It is ideal for music production and mixing, audio playback, and can also serve as a reference monitoring system due to its exceptionally flat frequency response and several features that allow for optimal sound adjustment in any room.
This device features two separate Class D amplifiers that deliver a maximum output power of 120W for the low-frequency range and 70W for the high-frequency range. It incorporates a 4-inch composite woofer with a long excursion and a magnetic shield, utilizing the Extremely Linear Force Factor (ELFF) technology for the most linear frequency response. The 1-inch tweeter with a fabric dome, loaded on an elliptical Mathematically Modelled Dispersion (MMD) waveguide, provides even and wide sound coverage. These drivers can reproduce audio signals in a frequency range from 57Hz to 21kHz with only +/-3dB variation. The crossover is set at 1.8kHz and employs 6th-order filters with a cutoff slope of 48dB per octave. The maximum sound pressure level reaches 108.8dB, and the maximum output level can be set at 94, 100, 108, or 114dB. The built-in DSP processor offers Acoustical Control technology with four presets for low-mid adjustment, allowing to eliminate excessive boominess and muddiness. The input sensitivity is adjustable within a range of 0 to -15dB.
Thanks to the Neumann.Control standard IP network, full access to all KH 80 DSP Studio Monitor functions is provided, which otherwise would not be available on the rear panel. Speaker systems can be defined from mono to 3D, aligned for optimal room sound, and then centrally controlled: Setup, Align, Operate.

Using an individually calibrated measurement microphone, your acoustic environment is analyzed within a controlled process. Enhanced calibration algorithms, developed in collaboration with the world-leading sound processing institute Fraunhofer IIS, guarantee precisely tailored amplitude and phase correction for accurate and reliable monitoring.
