Description

The Clip Mic MCM miniature system sets a new standard for the quality of electret capsules. The Neumann MCM 114 guarantees excellent sound for all acoustic instruments. It redefines the standards for natural sound, practicality, reliable installation, and durability. The system includes nine special mounting clips for a wide range of acoustic instruments. Its modular design allows for easy replacement and ensures excellent low cost of ownership.

The KK 14 microphone capsule captures the finest details of instrument sound much more effectively than any other solution. It is also easier and more stable to use, and unlike outdated electret systems, it does not require constant monitoring of sound quality tolerances. Thanks to its modern modular design, the KK 14 not only provides the highest accuracy and sound stability, but also boasts exceptional durability and can function flawlessly for a very long time, even under the harsh conditions of live music concerts.

The Neumann KK 14 delivers the sound of both very quiet and very loud musical instruments. It has a minimal self-noise level and no loss even at extremely high sound pressure levels, up to 152 dB.

Despite its impressive capabilities, the new electret microphone system is modular, lightweight, compact, and extremely robust. The KK 14 capsule is housed in a well-protected titanium body and is assembled exclusively by hand. When necessary, the KK 14 can be quickly and easily detached from the gooseneck, and all other system components can be disassembled and reconfigured just as easily.

The Miniature Clip Mic System provides nine mounting options, allowing the microphone to be installed correctly and securely in almost any situation, without risking damage to the instrument.

Each of the key components is designed to ensure optimal performance, manufactured independently, and later assembled by hand. Strict quality control also guarantees an unprecedented level of tonal consistency.

A distinctive feature of the MCM 114 system is the simplicity of the mounting options, which provide easy and reliable positioning of the microphone on any instrument. The installation will not damage even sensitive surfaces and allows for mounting in a matter of seconds, requiring only one hand for most instruments. The gooseneck holder rotates along one or two axes and can be locked at 45° intervals for precise adjustment.

Omnidirectional, cardioid and supercardioid. It determines the sensitivity of the microphone to sound relative to the direction or angle, i.e. shows how well the microphone "hears" sound from different sides

Glossary of terms
cardioid

The polar pattern of the microphone that picks up the sound in front of it.
