What sets the KH 150 apart from its younger brothers and sisters is its deeper bass response down to 39 Hz. It approaches the low-frequency capability of the larger KH 310, thanks to the newly developed 6.5-inch high-precision low-frequency driver KH 5 in a carefully designed phase-inverted cabinet. This makes the KH 150 ideal for urban music, EDM, film soundtracks, and any style requiring extended low frequencies and/or increased listening levels. With powerful amplifiers (145 W/100 W) and sophisticated protection limiters, the clarity is maintained even at high sound pressure levels.
The KH 150 exhibits an extremely linear frequency response from 39 Hz to 21 kHz (±3 dB). What's more, it also linearizes the phase response! This means clean mid-frequencies with astonishing transparency, as well as exceptional accuracy in the time domain: precise reproduction of impulses and delicate reverberations. This became possible through DSP-controlled electronics, which enable the creation of complex crossovers while avoiding phase distortions caused by analog filters. The internal DSP also implements new standards for tonal consistency. The KH 150 is manufactured with extremely tight tolerances of no more than ±0.8 dB! And you can hear it too: the stereo image is very clear.
Furthermore, the KH 150 AES67 variant offers built-in backup ports for AES67 audio networking that fully comply with broadcasting standards such as ST 2110, ST 2022-7 redundancy, and RAVENNA. At the same time, the KH 150 AES67 is compatible with AES67 network streams generated by DANTE.
