Neumann KH 120 II is a professional studio monitor. Neumann introduces an updated version of its two-way nearfield monitor in the KH series, offering more efficient reproduction of low frequencies, increased sound pressure level, expanded DSP capabilities, and a more linear frequency and phase response.
Features:
- Speaker sizes: 5.25" woofer, 1" tweeter
- Frequency range: 44 Hz - 21 kHz (±3 dB)
- Maximum sound pressure level (SPL): 116.8 dB
- Crossover frequency: 1.7 kHz
This new model is equipped with class D amplifiers with a total power of 245 W (145W + 100W), and in standby mode they only consume 17 W. It is noted that the automatic standby mode reduces power consumption to 0.3 W when the monitor is not in use for some time, but this mode can be disabled. In addition, the KH 120 II utilizes all the advantages of DSP-controlled electronics, and its complex crossovers help avoid phase distortions usually caused by analog filters. They also help the monitors remain tonally consistent and provide a clear sound image.
Among other things, the built-in DSP allows for automatic alignment of the monitors to the room when combined with the Neumann MA-1 software-hardware solution (sold separately). This additional solution helps achieve effective monitoring in an "imperfect" environment, such as a small home studio or any space that has not been acoustically treated. It is worth noting that the KH 120 II can be combined with other monitors in the KH series for immersive or surround configurations.
