The Mackie ProFX22v3 is an analog mixing console equipped with a USB audio interface and DSP effects processor. This device belongs to the third generation of the ProFX professional mixer lineup and is the mid-range model in the series, featuring 22 input channels, which include 14 mono and 8 stereo channels. The mixer is perfect for use in theaters, cultural centers, schools and universities, rehearsal studios, and recording studios.
Channels 1 and 2 are designed with Combo 6.3mm/XLR jacks and can receive microphone, line, and instrument signals. Channels 3 to 20 have 17 XLR microphone inputs. Each of the microphone inputs is equipped with an Onyx preamplifier with a gain range of up to +60 dB, as well as phantom power. Channels 3-20 also have six mono and three stereo line inputs, made on 6.3mm jacks. The same jacks are also featured as Insert inputs on channels 1-20. Channel 21/22 has a single 3.5mm line input for connecting portable devices and can also receive signal output from a computer via USB.
All channels, except for the last one, have 3-band equalizers with parametric midrange (from 100 Hz to 8 kHz) and low-cut filters up to 100 Hz. The last input on 21/22 is equipped only with a standard 3-band equalizer with fixed frequency values. Channels 1-12 have simple compressors controlled by a single knob. Each channel has a volume fader, mute button, send controls to the effects processor, three monitor lines, and pan adjustment knobs. There are two main balanced outputs made on XLR and 6.3mm jacks for audio signal output.
Additional Control Room, Sub, AUX, and headphone outputs are also provided on a 6.3mm jack, allowing for signal transmission to an additional monitor line, creating a personal mix, or separately outputting the FX track. There is also a 12-segment analog level meter for convenient volume control at the output.
The DSP processor called GigFX offers the user 24 effects, including reverb, delay, modulation, filters, and overload. The selected preset number is displayed on an built-in LCD display, and the processor can be remotely turned on and off using an optional footswitch with a 3.5mm input. The built-in USB audio interface has 2 inputs and 4 outputs, 24-bit resolution, and the ability to operate at sampling rates up to 192 kHz. Connection to a computer is made through a USB-B port, and the unit is powered by mains.
The Mackie ProFX22v3 professional analog mixing console has a large number of channels and is perfect for working with live music. This model stands out with its simple and intuitive control, focused only on the front panel. It has excellent technical characteristics that ensure high sound quality, and is equipped with a variety of tools for sound correction and processing.
