Micro iTube 2 - Headphone Amplifier
The micro iTube2 amplifier is a tube preamplifier, tube buffer, and impedance matching device all in one housing. By installing this device before the preamp, we can create a "tube" sound effect for the entire audio system. The micro iTube2 can also be used as a very high-quality preamplifier.
The tonal balance of the micro iTube2 amplifier, especially in the mid and low frequencies, is capable of elevating the sound of your audio system to a higher price range and hearing the incomparable magic of tubes.
"Magic" of sound in three different modes
Among the listening modes, the iTube2 offers the listener a choice of different key sound options:
- Single-ended triode power amplifier;
- Push-pull tube power amplifier;
- Classic tube amplifier.
Just a note from the iFi team: there is no "correct" setting. It is recommended to choose the setting according to your system and personal preferences.
Xbass+® for Speakers - new and improved
The XBass+® for Speakers technology is completely different from its counterpart, XBass+® for Headphones. The only similarity lies in the philosophy of finding ways to improve the sound of a speaker system - quite different from improving headphone sound.

Matrix 3D Holographic+® for Speakers
The latest version of the Matrix 3D Holographic+ for Speakers offers something truly special. It takes high-end systems to another level of sound quality. Its idea is borrowed from the original innovative work of Alan Blumlein, the "father of stereo sound."
Firstly, the system corrects fundamental spatial distortions present in recordings. Secondly, it expands the width of the soundstage beyond what is set by speaker placement.
New high-quality PCB with galvanic coupling for the cleanest signal path
The iTube2 amplifier, aligned with the latest products from iFi, is built on "galvanic coupling." This means there are no isolating capacitors to provide the cleanest and most direct signal path.
Furthermore, the iTube2 amplifier is practically a completely new product, as the circuitry and components have been radically changed, and it now more closely resembles the Pro iCAN amplifier. "Sliding down" from the flagship series? Definitely "yes!"
Reference-quality components
The iTube2 amplifier uses Japanese TDK C0G capacitors. They are equivalent to Japanese Panasonic ECPU film capacitors, designed for use in audio equipment with extremely low levels of distortion (<0.00001% at 1 V / 10 kHz).
Additionally, ELNA Silmic capacitors are used in the iTube2. These and other components are found only in products with an extra zero in the price tag.
The proof is evident when listening. The best tube buffer or preamplifier among others has simply moved even further ahead.
Listening in silence - iPower 15 V power supply
Each iTube2 amplifier comes with a completely new iPOWER (15 V) power supply, which has low noise levels. This enhanced DC power supply includes:
- Active noise cancellation system borrowed from military radar technologies
- When measured on an Audio Precision station, the iPower power supply showed incredibly low levels of inherent noise in the audio range - just 1 uV, while being able to power the iTube2 amplifier outputting up to 7.75 V.
