iFi Audio iDSD Diablo-X - Powerful Portable Headphone Amplifier
Features:
- Portable DAC and headphone amplifier.
- Headphone outputs: 4.4 mm, 6.3 mm.
- Capability to connect headphones with xMEMS type.
- Output power of the model is 611 mW at 300 Ohm and impressive 4,980 mW at 32 Ohm.
The new portable DAC and headphone amplifier iFi Audio iDSD Diablo-X stands out not only for its high power, but also for the use of high-quality components. The analog linear output is organized on a balanced 4.4 mm connector, while headphone connections are provided for 4.4 mm and 6.3 mm jacks. One of the main features is the presence of a special X mode, designed for use with xMEMS type headphones, which operate on piezoelectric principles, with an example being the Singularity ONI model.
The xMEMS micro-dynamics technology uses piezoelectric effect to create thin solid-state drivers. These micro-dynamics have a great potential to expand the boundaries of headphone capabilities.
The iFi Audio iDSD Diablo-X can still be used with your favorite IEMs/headphones and, like the original, utilizes two Burr-Brown DAC chips and a 16-core XMOS chip for processing data received through USB and S/PDIF digital inputs. This means that the Diablo-X can handle up to PCM 768, DSD 512, 2xDXD, with both PCM and DSD remaining "bit-perfect". The device provides full MQA decoding.
The output power of the model is 611 mW at 300 Ohm and an impressive 4,980 mW at 32 Ohm. The maximum output voltage is 19.2 V, which is a unique feature for a portable amplifier powered by a built-in battery. The DAC section of the model is built on a Burr-Brown chip, the analog part includes OV2627 operational amplifiers, OS-CON capacitors, and Panasonic ECPU capacitors.
