Focal Sopra №2 - modern acoustic system that perfectly combines dynamics, soundstage organization, and harmonic richness. The 3-way floor-standing model Focal Sopra №2 takes the second step in the Sopra series, slightly smaller in cabinet dimensions and bass driver size compared to the flagship of the range.

The Focal Sopra №2 speaker system is equipped with a 27mm tweeter that has a very rigid ultra-lightweight inverted dome covered with beryllium. The tweeter is located in a module made of a durable damping material, thermally moulded polyurethane. The module contains a back cavity with a shape resembling a reverse horn (IHL technology). The cavity absorbs the waves emitted by the rear side of the dome membrane, minimizing distortions and lowering the resonance frequency. As a result, clean sound with excellent dynamics and high resolution is guaranteed. A mini grille is used to protect the tweeter, while the back of the module is also covered by a metal grille.
In the Focal Sopra №2, a pair of 180mm woofers is used to provide a dense, deep, and well-controlled bass. The woofers feature W-cones, consisting of a layer of special foam material sandwiched between thin layers of fiberglass on both sides. This lightweight sandwich construction achieves high rigidity and improves internal damping. The NIC technology is used to stabilize the magnetic field in which the coil is located, increasing dynamics and reducing distortion. A slightly forward-tilted upper part of the cabinet houses a 165mm midrange driver with a similar W-cone and NIC technology. The surround of the midrange driver is thickened, acting as mass dampers (TMD technology) to eliminate parasitic resonances that occur during membrane movement.
The module with the integrated tweeter provides a slight tilt of the upper part of the speaker forward, while the lower part of the column is slightly tilted backward. As a result, the waves emitted by all drivers reach the listening position simultaneously (Focus Time technology). The thick 69mm front panel of the speaker has a sandwich structure, contributing to improved damping. The sides are non-parallel, and Helmholz resonators are installed in the lower part of the cabinet to address issues with internal standing waves. The port of the bass reflex is integrated into the bottom of the speaker and directed into the tempered glass base with built-in adjustable stainless steel spikes.
The Focal Sopra №2 speakers feature a modern ergonomic design and are available in a glossy lacquer or natural veneer finish. The model is ideal for rooms up to 30 sq. m in size and can easily handle rooms up to 70 sq. m.
