The KA5 provides up to 265mW of clean power per channel through the balanced port with a 32-ohm load. Even through the single-ended 3.5mm output, it delivers power up to 122mW with a 32-ohm load. These figures are comfortable enough to easily drive most headphones.
3.5mm, 4.4mm Headphone Outputs, and SPDIF Digital Output
The FiiO KA5 has two headphone outputs, including a single-ended 3.5mm and a balanced 4.4mm. An interesting feature is that the 3.5mm jack is combined with the SPDIF digital output.
Multifunctional Physical Buttons
FiiO has equipped the KA5 with a multifunctional button, as well as physical volume control buttons. The volume buttons also have multiple A and B functions. In A mode, a short press changes the volume, and a long press changes the track. In B mode, a short press changes the track, and a long press changes the volume. This setting can be changed using the FiiO Control App.
