DALI ALTECO C-1 - a truly versatile speaker, both in design and functionality. Thanks to the specially developed crossover, ALTECO C-1 can be used both as height speakers and as traditional stereo speakers. ALTECO C-1 is the perfect choice for height channels in surround sound systems, plus they can be used to create an unusual stereo system.

ALTECO C-1 accurately conveys information about height channels in Atmos, DTS-X and Auro-3D formats in surround sound systems. They can be installed either with "bottom-up" emission, with the ceiling acting as a reflector, or "top-down", positioned beneath the ceiling.
ALTECO C-1 can achieve this even without special equalization to enhance HRTF effects (Head Related Transfer Function, a technology used in certified Atmos speakers). Instead, ALTECO C-1 only uses amplifier processing for the height channel. If we included nonlinear HRTF equalization in ALTECO C-1, they would not be as versatile neutral speakers and would be limited to just one type of application.

Two sound modes
The unique design with an angled front panel and two sound modes allow the use of ALTECO speakers in a variety of scenarios. Choose UP on the front panel to direct sound upwards, or DOWN - for example, for close listening.
Upward sound projection
Thanks to the angled front panel, ALTECO speakers are ideal when sound needs to be directed upwards. When combined with a surround sound processor supporting height channels (Dolby Atmos, DTS-X or Auro-3D), ALTECO can be placed on front or even rear speakers to provide accurate height information through ceiling reflections.
Paper diaphragms reinforced with wood fibers
Low-loss speaker diaphragms are made of lightweight paper reinforced with wood fibers. The use of wood fibers adds surface irregularities to the diaphragm, drastically reducing resonance. This ensures the best possible reproduction of every audio signal detail.
High-frequency driver
The dome tweeter provides best-in-class resolution with an extended frequency range, wide dispersion, and low coloration. A direct inheritance from DALI's High-End speaker lines. The tweeter is based on an ultra-lightweight fabric material, over twice as light as materials from other manufacturers (0.056 mg/mm²).
