Paying homage to the history of our hometown of Tula, the company is reviving the same blackening process used for the original Brass Black series.
The blackening process for the 023 model is truly something special. The team at Soyuz company uses a modernized brass version of the traditional microphone body and subjects it to a passivation process to achieve its unique hue and patina.
When brass oxidizes on the microphone body, a protective layer of magnetite forms. The end result is a one-of-a-kind finish for a world-class field microphone.
Like its predecessors, the 023 Brass Black model will be released in limited quantities. A total of 80 black microphones will be manufactured and distributed worldwide. The 023 Brass Black combines the signature sound characteristics of the original 023 with the stylish finish of this unique microphone series.

Based on the legendary LOMO 19A21, which was developed based on the AKG CK12, the SU-023 microphone capsule was further refined and tuned at the SOYUZ factory to produce an elegant, soft sound with a particularly pleasant and "cohesive" midrange.
The microphone comes with a -20 dB attenuator, shock mount, and a handcrafted oak box for microphone storage. The sound and manufacturing quality allow this microphone to maintain a leading position in its class. Try it in your studio and see for yourself.
