Neumann KH 120 II - a professional studio monitor. Neumann presents an updated version of its two-way nearfield monitor in the KH series, offering improved low-frequency reproduction, increased sound pressure, expanded DSP capabilities, and more linear frequency and phase characteristics.
Features:
- Speaker sizes: Woofer 5.25"; Tweeter 1";
- Frequency range: 44 Hz - 21 kHz (±3 dB);
- Maximum sound pressure level (SPL): 116.8 dB;
- Crossover frequency: 1.7 kHz.
The new model is equipped with Class D amplifiers with a total power of 245 W (145 + 100), and they consume only 17 W in standby mode. It is noted that automatic standby mode reduces power consumption to 0.3 W when the monitor is not in use for a certain period of time, but the mode can be disabled. In addition, the KH 120 II utilizes all the advantages of DSP-controlled electronics, and their sophisticated crossovers help avoid phase distortions typically caused by analog filters. They also help the monitors remain tonally consistent and provide a clear sound image.
Among other things, the built-in DSP allows for automatic room alignment of the monitors in combination with the Neumann MA-1 software-hardware solution (sold separately). This additional solution helps achieve effective monitoring in an "imperfect" environment, such as a small home studio or any space that has not been acoustically treated. It is worth noting that the KH 120 II can be combined with other monitors in the KH series in immersive or surround configurations.
