Focal Sopra №3 Flagship Three-Way Floorstanding Speaker
The flagship Focal Sopra №3 is the highest floorstanding speaker in the pre-top range of the Sopra series, providing rich, harmonically full sound with superior dynamics and an expansive soundstage according to Focal.

This speaker is equipped with two 210mm woofers, ensuring deep, excellently articulated bass. Each driver features a W diffuser composed of a central layer of foamed material sandwiched between reinforcing layers of fiberglass on both sides, ensuring high rigidity, low mass, and excellent internal damping. The woofers utilize NIC technology to optimize the magnetic field surrounding the voice coil, minimizing distortions and improving dynamics. The 165mm midrange driver, located in the top part of the cabinet and placed in a separate internal chamber, also utilizes NIC technology and a similar W diffuser construction. TMD technology dampers are applied to the suspension, eliminating unwanted resonances caused by W membrane movement.
The 27mm tweeter with a rigid, super lightweight concave beryllium dome is housed in a separate module made of durable thermoplastic polyurethane. IHL technology incorporates a rearward horn-shaped chamber (known as an "infinite" horn) into the module, absorbing waves emitted by the rear of the dome. This eliminates distortions, reduces resonance frequency, and delivers transparent, dynamic high frequencies with high resolution. The tweeter is protected by a metal grille, and the rear of the module is also covered by a metal mesh.
The module not only separates the midrange and woofer sections of the Focal Sopra №3 but also provides a precisely calculated tilt to the upper part of the cabinet. This tilt ensures that sound waves from different drivers reach the listening point almost simultaneously (Focus Time technology). The phase inverter is located at the base of the cabinet, and the base is made of 19mm tempered glass with integrated adjustable stainless steel spikes. The 69mm thick front panel with a sandwich structure provides excellent damping. Non-parallel sides of the speaker eliminate internal standing waves, aided by small Helmholtz resonators installed in the lower part of the cabinet. A pair of screw terminals is provided for cable connection.
The Focal Sopra №3 flagship speaker can cover rooms up to 80 sq. m and is available in natural veneer or glossy lacquer in various finishes, including orange.
