The ceiling/wall-mounted 300 IW 6 speaker takes a central place in the company's 300 Series lineup. It is discreet and features an excellent balance between size and efficiency.
The membrane is made of flax fiber core covered with two layers of glass fiber. This environmentally friendly fabric provides the membrane with lightness, strength, and the ability to absorb load. It also ensures significant tonal neutrality. The speaker with a 16.5 cm diameter driver provides good power handling and exceptional acoustic performance, generating sound with a power of 92 dB.
The TNV2 tweeters of the Focal 300 IW 6 speakers have been used in the Chorus and Easya lineups. This model features Focal's exclusive technology - an inverted dome that ensures optimal energy transfer and limited directionality. The dome made of an aluminum-magnesium alloy guarantees unique strength characteristics and softening of high frequencies for a smooth and energetic sound. The silk sound is further enhanced by the micro-porous PVC suspension supporting the dome. The tweeter of the Focal 300 IW 6 speaker has 3 adjustable positions (-3 dB, 0 dB, +3 dB) for tuning the high-frequency sound level in the listening area. The tweeter can also be tilted (±20°) and rotated by 360°. You can aim the tweeter towards the listening area to enhance the accuracy of high-frequency reproduction and stereo sound imaging. These settings provide control over the off-axis frequency characteristics of the speaker.
The Focal 300 IW 6 built-in speaker is extremely easy to install. The included EQI mounting frame (Easy Quick Installation) is suitable for walls with a thickness ranging from 5 to 30 mm. No screws or tools are needed. The frame is equipped with fixing brackets that support the system in the correct position. After installing the frame, simply insert the speaker and secure it by twisting it a quarter turn. To finish the installation, choose between a square or round protective grille. With magnets, simply attach it to the speaker. The grille is equipped with anti-vibration pads to reduce the risk of interference during listening. The white protective grille can be easily painted to perfectly blend with your walls or ceiling. The speaker is dustproof and moisture-resistant, making it suitable for use in bathrooms, kitchens, etc.
