Helium520 uses Uniformly Directional Diffusion (U|D|D) technology, ensuring wide and even sound dispersion in space. The directivity diagram resulting from U|D|D resembles a narrow cardioid shape. Therefore, the speakers can be placed quite close to the wall without unpleasant consequences. U|D|D technology is implemented through driver placement, crossover design, and a carefully calculated waveguide with a tweeter installed.

The 13-centimeter woofers with paper diffusers are connected in parallel, thus working completely synchronously without any timing or phase errors. Accordingly, the Helium 520 model is a two-way design. The tweeters, as in all Amphion speakers, feature a one-inch titanium dome. Measures have been taken in its construction to eliminate peak resonances.
